Individual & Adolescent Counseling
Our Problem Gambling Services take into consideration age, biological, behavioral, economic and cultural issues influencing gambling and health. We combine prevention, harm reduction and multiple levels of treatment, focusing on quality of life issues for gamblers and their loved ones. Our strategies minimize gambling’s negative impacts while recognizing the reality of gambling’s availability, cultural acceptance and economic appeal.
Family Support & Information
Experts at The LCADA Way know problem gambling doesn’t just affect the gambler. It can have serious consequences for the people around them too. Families suffer from debt and property loss caused by gambling. Loved ones are manipulated and lied to, children are neglected and verbal and physical abuse is common. The good news is that you are not powerless. In fact, friends and family of problem gamblers are often the driving force behind getting the gambler to admit a problem and get help. We are here to provide tips for friends and family of problem gamblers.
Residential & Day Treatment Programs
Our programs provide structured, scheduled treatment and/or rehabilitation activities while the individual resides at home or in one of our recovery facilities. Individuals develop and practice the skills to manage gambling and related problems, with 24 hr. access to a supportive environment. Utilizing an interdisciplinary approach, we help individuals gain insight in destructive behavior patterns and replace them with healthy coping skills. Treatment is supplemented with individualized continuing care programs.
Intensive Outpatient Program
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a comprehensive treatment approach for young and old. The program includes an initial evaluation, educational group, group therapy and individual or family therapy sessions and 12-step support groups. Our goal is to help those who are addicted or struggling to avoid relapse, develop skills and tools that will lead to recovery and overall wellness.
Community & Employer Education
At The LCADA Way, we are committed to providing services and programs for problem gamblers, their families, employers and the greater community through gambling addiction treatment support, information and education, advocacy and prevention efforts. We recognize that most people who gamble do so for recreation and suffer no serious problems. However, for some, gambling becomes a serious addiction that can impact employers and their community. Call us for more information on how we can help.
Low Intensity Treatment
Our low intensity treatment is designed for those experiencing early-stage gambling problems. The treatment includes participation in education groups of 6-12 sessions to assist individuals and loved ones in determining the most appropriate next steps for recovery. Individualized Counseling and Family Education is also available.
Aftercare
The last phase of an individual’s recovery is our AfterCare program. This program provides a strong support network for the individual until they can successfully maintain recovery on their own.
