Grammy Award Winning Singer-Songwriter Judy Collins to Speak at The LCADA Way Annual Benefit and Recognition Gala
Recovery advocate will be the featured keynote speaker at The LCADA Way Annual Benefit & Recognition Dinner
LORAIN, OHIO – Judy Collins, famous for creating music of love, hope and healing, will be the keynote speaker this year at the 2018 The LCADA Way Pearls of Wisdom Annual Benefit and Recognition Dinner to be held October 25th at the Emerald Event Center in Avon, Ohio. The LCADA Way, a private, non-profit organization that serves Lorain and Medina counties and surrounding communities, is recognized as a proven leader in wellness and addiction recovery since 1981.
“We are very excited to have Judy Collins as our keynote speaker this year”, said The LCADA Way President and CEO, Thomas D. Stuber. “Her personal experiences and story of addiction triumph and recovery will be sure to inspire all.”
Since the 60’s, Judy Collins has delighted fans with sublime vocals, boldly vulnerable songwriting, personal life triumphs and a firm commitment to social activism. Now 79, she is creatively vigorous as ever - singing, writing, touring on her own along with longtime friend Steve Stills. She remains an accomplished painter, filmmaker, record label head, musical mentor and an in-demand keynote speaker for mental health, recovery and suicide prevention.
The LCADA Way Pearls of Wisdom Annual Benefit and Recognition Dinner is held each year to honor individuals and organizations who help those impacted by drug, alcohol and gambling addiction. A Community Service Award is presented at the dinner to honor individuals recognized for outstanding dedication and commitment to helping those affected by addiction. Additionally, the Howard Marusa Award is presented to individuals in recognition of their selfless giving and dedication to saving lives and reuniting families impacted by drug and alcohol addiction.

The LCADA Way, serving Lorain and Medina Counties and surrounding communities, helps those dealing with drug, alcohol and gambling addiction. The Pearls of Wisdom Annual Benefit and Recognition Dinner will serve as a way to raise awareness of addiction as well as raise funds to assist the non-profit organization in its mission of recovery.
